Goals
The main objective of the project:
Transform the Varna Museum into one of the main drivers of social and cultural development inVarna and the region.
Specific goals:
1. Modernise and expand the Varna Museum exhibition spaces to give the general public access to the cultural and historical objects in the museum.
2. Develop the Varna Museum as a place for communication: a new space serving as crossroads of past and present, of different civilisations, and of modern society in all its cultural diversity.
3. Transform the museum into an attractive cultural and historical centre for new audiences by introducing new technologies and innovations.
4. Ehance the managerial and expert capacity of the Varna Museum staff in order to effectively and entrepreneurially manage the cultural and historical heritage exhibited there.

Expected results
-improved and revitalised environment at the Varna Museum
- revitalisation and renovation of the museum exhibition spaces and corridors
-renovation of the Repository for stone monuments and ensuring access for visitors
-adaptation and modification of the existing display cases, enrichment of the permanent exhibitions with new information and display cases
- creation of rest spaces for visitors and locating a new cloakroom for the visitors’comfort
-creation of a new coin exhibition
- revitalization of the conference hall Odessos and the exhibition hall North
- newly attracted audiences
- improved and increased management and expert capacity of museum staff
- exchange of experience and good practices in cultural and historical heritage management in Norway
-prepared entrepreneurrship plan for the development of the museum
-personal Guide mobile app: the visitor will receive information on their own smart device. The guide will present information in 5 languages
- online platform with virtual tours of the exhibition spaces
