“DEVELOPING THE VARNA REGIONAL MUSEUM OF HISTORY AS A MULTIFUNCTIONAL PUBLIC SPACE FOR SCIENCE, ART, CULTURE AND COMMUNICATION”
BULGARIAN EXPERTS HAVE VISITED NORWEGIAN MUSEUM NORDLAND UNDER PROJECT No. BGCULTURE-1.001-0005-C01 “DEVELOPING THE VARNA REGIONAL MUSEUM OF HISTORY AS A MULTIFUNCTIONAL PUBLIC SPACE FOR SCIENCE, ART, CULTURE AND COMMUNICATION”
During the period 11.10-15.10.2022, representatives of Varna Regional Museum and UE-Varna visited Nordland Museum, Bodo, Norway. The main purpose of the visit is connected with the first partner meeting and the implementation of expert meetings with the aim of exchanging experience and good practices in the field of cultural heritage management in Norway.
The visit was carried out in the frame of the project № BGCULTURE-1.001-0005-C01 “Developing the Varna Regional Museum of History as a Multifunctional Public Space for Science, Art, Culture and Communication” funded by Iceland,
Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA

Programme PA14 Cultural Entrepreneurship, Heritage and Cooperation
During the period 11.10.2022 - 15.10.2022, the Bulgarian team participated in a number of activities and meetings:
1. 12.10. – carrying out a partner meeting of the Bulgarian and Norwegian team at the Jekt Trade Museum. Presentation of the structure, organization of work and ways of financing the museums in Bodo and Varna Regional Museum. Discussion.
-Organized tour in the exhibition of Jekt Trade Museum
-Visit and presentation of the activities of the city museum in Bodo, closed for renovation.
-Organized walking tour in the historical center of Bodo
2. 13.10. – A meeting was held with Prof. Dr. Dorthe Eide from Nord University in Bodjo. Discussion
-Presentation during the visit at Bodo Tourist Information Center - presentation of tourist information about the region and the working methods of the tourist information centre
-Visit and tour with a tour guide in the Museum of Aviation in Bodo. Getting to know the ways of exhibiting and the application of digital technologies at the museum.
- Presentation of Norwegian living cultural heritage - presentation and tasting of Dinner with traditional cuisine.
3. 14.10. – Visit to Kjerringoy, familiarization with the history of the settlement and the museum.
